Liberty Homecoming

We had such a fun weekend at Liberty's Homecoming. We started the weekend with our trip to Danville to have supper with my college roommates. Then we headed back to Lynchburg to stay in the Wingate. We have spent many days sitting in the parking lot looking out of the town and talking. We've always wanted to stay there and finally did. It was so nice!
Jared taking all our bags into the Wingate on Friday night at 11:30 pm.

Liberty had an alumni lunch so we got together with more friends and ate. Chris, Matt, Jay, Jared, and Sam had a good time fretting each other, telling old stories, and talking.

The girls had a blast playing with all the babies. Julia, Misty, her daughter Joanna, Sarah, and I hung out and ate lunch together. It took us a while to find lunch. It was supposed to be outside of the Vines Center (so here we are in the Vines). But lunch was moved inside the Schilling Center for rain.

Here it is! Homecoming 2008! Liberty shutout Charleston Southern. There were a lot of students and alumni there. The sea of red is the student section at the game (with the Wingate in the background). It turned out to be a great weekend. The rain stopped for the game and the clouds went away. Then after the game we went to La Carreta with friends. It's so encouraging to spend time with friends.
