We had a nice yet quiet July 4th weekend. We usually go to Smith Mountain Lake for the 4th to celebrate and see the fireworks but this year we went a week early. We just stayed home this year. It was nice. We attempted to go see the fireworks but the exit was backed up for almost 2 miles so we just turned around and came home. It turns out we had some good fireworks that we could see from our back yard.
Then Monday, Mom and Dad came down for a little while. We grilled out - chicken, green beans, corn, rolls, and dessert. Then we had a good time playing Wii. I think Mom and Dad both had a good time playing with us. Mom liked playing tennis and Dad liked golf. It was a fun, long weekend!!
