Oh Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!!!

It's been a wonderful weekend! After a busy week it was so fun to get away Saturday. It was nice to walk out the door and leave the dirty laundry, bills to pay, bathrooms to clean, and all the chores behind.
I got together with two of my best friends. We met when I was 7 years old in Asheboro, NC. We have kept in touch through the years. Now two of us are in Winston and one is in Wake Forest (the town). So we got together for the day Saturday. We went to lunch at Chili's an had time to catch up on all that's been going on. Then we went and treated ourselves to pedicures. Those were so nice!
We also took time to treat ourselves to a little sugary treat - ice cream. After that we had built up enough strength to do some shopping. It was fun to catch up on our lives now, hear stories about their boys, and retell some crazy childhood stories. There are many blessings in life but good ole friends are at the top of the list.

The kind of friends you can not see for a year and then get together like you saw each other yesterday. I am so thankful for the chance to get away and relax and for the opportunity to share and be encouraged by two wonderful friends! I guess girls just do wanna have fun!
