TLC = Tents, Lazy, Camping

We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. It has become our tradition over the last several years to go camping with my family. We pack up and head to the mountains on Friday night. We set up our tents, blow up our air mattresses, and settle in for a long weekend. This year was a little different. Jared and I had to come home Sunday night. Apparently they don't do Labor Day holiday in graduate school. Another change was Dayla. We've never gone camping with a baby before. It was fun. Jay and Sarah stayed in the camper with Sarah's dad.
However, many things stayed the same. We had huge breakfasts - eggs, bacon, sausage, country ham, toast, grits. We had plenty of desserts. We went hiking to the top of Buffalo Mountain. Dayla even went with us. Jay carried her up and Uncle Jared carried her down. We played some Bocce ball and went to Mabry Mill.
I love going camping. It is one of my favorite get aways. No rules, no agendas, no watches. You can do what you want, when you want. We sit around and talk, listen to crickets, and relax. It was so nice to get away from our crazy new life here and spend time with my family - Mom, Dad, Jay, Sarah, Dayla, Nenny, Uncle Danny, Tom, Julie, Matt, Helen, Annabelle, Madalyn, Pete (Sarah's dad). It was such a blessing to spend time with them.
